Things that were once considered beyond the reach of human capabilities are now turning real and we are the prime witness to it. This dynamic change in the way of living is solely because of the rapid developments in the field of science and technology. But, as said always there is always a second side to the coin and we must be well aware of that as well. Modern day innovations and inventions are no doubt a thing to cherish as they make our life hassle-free in myriad of ways but they have their own repercussions. Let's understand this with the help of certain examples.

To begin with we can assume that advancement in the field of science and technology is like a double edged sword. If put to wrong use these innovations and inventions are embedded with capabilities to wipe out the existence of human civilization from the surface of earth. One such example is the nuclear energy. The nuclear energy is put into useful ways of meeting the energy needs of various countries but side by side we are also aware of its devastating abilities if it is put to wrong use.

Cell phones have these days carved a special niche for themselves in our everyday life. We consider them as an integral part of our system sometimes. Starting from connecting to people from around the globe to storing a hell lot of our important information and what not. Cell phone does it all. But we can't undermine the fact that our privacy may be at stake always if our device gets hacked or stolen at times.

Moreover, people these days find solace in getting attached to modern day gadget and spare less of any time to interact socially with outer world or people. Excessive addiction leads to depression and anxiety disorders including strain upon eyes.

These days with advancement in technology there are a number of ways we are carrying out economic activities including banking through web. At times this makes us prone to hackers who can easily get away with our hard earned money.

When discussing about advancement in science and technology we can't just overlook the impact it has upon the environment. This puts our climate and environment at risk in a variety of ways. One of the visible effects is the global warming.

So, we can assume that science and technology can act as both boon as well as bane to human society in their respective ways.
