While we may think that healthcare policies are created to ensure that patients have the best experience in the healthcare system, the cost-benefit analysis of the problem plays a large part in the decision making process. What can be done to improve patient outcomes without adding too much cost to either the system or the patient. For this discussion, you will need to look at federal and state regulatory agencies, insurance - both public and private, professional organizations, and healthcare accrediting bodies. Answer the questions below for the following topic: Escalating drug prices

Some of the barriers which makes it difficult to solve this problem are

  • High cost fixed by the manufactures in order to rectify the amount spent in getting a brand name for their drugs
  • Some of the population are still lacking the appropriate insurance package which covers the prescription drugs
  • The income level of the population males ot difficult to solve this escalating drug prices

This topic can affect the population in the following ways

  • Creating a disatisfaction ,loss of trust on the federal government regarding the regulations made by it on the escalating drug prices.
  • Fear of affording the necessary medical services for medical needs

The solution which has been offered so far is the revision or changes which has to be made on Affordable Care Act

They haven't been implemented because of the opposition by most of population in order to revise the ACA.This is because doing so can impact one group of people .

One of the best way to solve this problem is the introduction of the generic drug which are low in cost at the same time having the same quality.
