considering the three types of immigration law- legal, humanitarian, and illegal - what kind of immigration policies do you think the united states should pursue in the future and why?
U.S. immigration law is complex, and there is much confusion as to how it works. ... The body of law governing current immigration policy is called The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The INA allows the United States to grant up to 675,000 permanent immigrant visas each year across various visa categories.
A grant of humanitarian parole allows foreign residents to travel to the U.S. in the case of an emergency or based on public interest reasons. ... U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) allows certain foreign nationals who do not have a visa to receive an alternative known as humanitarian parole.
The main purpose of humanitarian parole is to allow foreign residents who are “stuck” outside the U.S. to enter the U.S. to attend to an emergency situation. If you are already in the U.S., then you do not need a travel document in order to attend to an emergency situation in the United States.
The polices sholud be favourble towards the people, therefore the humanitarian immigration law should be persued.
