Performance management cycle is a part of performance management process or strategy. It has a model that allows mangement and employees to achieve their organizational goals.
Performance management cycle has four steps,
Planning- in plannning management team shpuld meet and decide the organization's long time and short time goals and objectives Goals should be clearly outlined using the SMART METHOD
SMART goals are,specific(goal is clearly outlined), measurable( goal have measurable indicator) achieveable(it should not lofty) relevent and time-bound(there should be a definite timeline as to when this goal should be completed.
Monitoring- Monitoring is a key function in achieveing the goals set out in the planning stage.
reviewing- The management and employee meet to review the previous year and see if goals were met.
rewarding- This is a stage that cannot be overloked, this stage is crucial for emolyee motivation.It can be offered as a one-time bonus, a promotion, a positive written review,
