Performance reports play a very important role in any organization for evaluating the employees based on there performance and conduct in the workplace. If done properly they can give employees a sense of encouragement and scope to improve in there work and career. To retain good employees in organization transparency in performance reports plays a crucial role that makes employees engage with the company for the longterm and can contribute to organizational growth.

A certain parameter has to set for performance report according to the kind of projects the company is dealing with and the skills which are necessary for that work to be accomplished. for example, a market research company has to have parameters for there employees like presentation skills, analytical skills, stress management, time management, teamwork, etc. These parameters have to be reviewed from time to time depending upon companies' requirements and provide the employees with the necessary feedback to improve from what they are today to be more productive and efficient.
Setting concrete goals
It should be very clear to employees that what is expected out of them and what they have to achieve in a defined period of time. the goals have to be very specific like X employee has to boost sales in this region by 20% within a 3months period of time and these are the resources available. by defining clearly the goals it becomes simple for the organization also to measure the performance.
