When we say that “sales people are the critical link between the firm and its customers,” what does that mean?
A salesperson creates the missing link between the customers and the company by burning the aspect of interpersonal relationships right to the customer's doorstep. Even though a company might have invested in a good promotion, the fact that a salesperson can provide a better underground, create the need and generate the necessary interests in the firm’s offerings can create the necessary understanding for their use and utilization by the firm. Salespeople appeal to the customer's understanding and considerations directly, bringing them closer to the firm and create a sense of trust and brand image in their mind, which further leads to the sale.
Salespeople can be considered as a link between the customers
and the firm because they are the reason personal communications,
engagement and customer satisfaction can be enhanced to its
limits.
