Potential Issues and problems of Wireless Technology

(1) New Spectrum Distribution

Wireless Technology is growing fast and In the year 2020, There will be a growth in wireless technology sector with new frequency bands spectrum.We will be seeing high frequenciesfor mobile data communications(5G).

With the new spectrum there will be an explosion in the market of devices as well.A new challenge will be to select the frequency band from multiple frequency spectrum for radios.

(2) Maximizing Performance

With the increase in the crowd the performance falls off.If we want to provide the same experience for each and every person today it will be difficult and cost ineffective.

Using Wifi-6 can be a solution, but the challenge is to design such radio systems to get the most out of it.The challenge here is to get the most optimized way as to provide it to each person with good quality of experience.

(3) Security and Identification

There are so many devices out there and with that malicious devices are also increasing and security becomes a concern.Also, with the increase in malicious devices encryption is also implemented which makes the identification even more tough (for example the number of packets or the size of packets)

(4) Radios as software

There are lot of challenges for engineers in the field of SDRs(Software- defined Radios).It will be easier to get updates on software as we get now in our smartphones but will be difficult for the engineers as they have to keep it up to date as things will become quickly outdated in the software field.

SDR technology is yet to get developed and engineers are still are working on it to achieve High performance,Low power and low cost of the hardware to get it more optimized.

(5) Designing Challenges

The challenge for the designers is to enable terminals with multiple modes of operations.Currently, the desktop computers cannot process breakthroughs in the circuit which is essential for multimode to get implemented.
