My company is the part of FMCG industry and it has an extensive sales team. In this regard, the sales team training process is a multi step process that starts with the need assessment process. of the sales team and training needs are established. In the second step, the sales department head in liason with the HR identify the right trainer that can deliver the sales training to the sales team and equip the member with the right set of skills. In the next step, training is delivered that is mostly in the workshop mode and it is tested in the field. After the completion of the training, feedback is collected to learn the level of learnings and scope of improvements in the training program.

It entails that training need assessment and right method of training is very important to make the sales team learn effectively. It helps sales team deliver the objectives of learning and employee productivity increases.
