Expert Solution

Answer - To describe the world as "flat" is a metaphor . World is flat in the sense that the world provides a level playing field in terms of commerce where all competitors have equal opportunity to manifest their skills and no one is deprived to compete with one another . In a flat world both small and large companies , industries , individual entrepreneurs become a part of a large , complex , global supply chain and the competition spans entire continent . The people here get a chance to innovate instead of emigrating .
