It is important to keep theme of patient material consistent because it will help to aide navigation and readability.

Balance text and images.

Dont complicate your message with too many fonts.

3)Graphics :

This one is amazingly good. In graphs you can explain things which are difficult to explain by words. Graphs also will provide a clever way of delivering a message.

Some points to keep in mind while making graphs-

Don't go for 3d graphs. They are difficult to apprehend. 2d graphs will be a way more simple to understand.

Avoid jargons and too much of color as it distracts from the actual message.
