What is hydrostatic balance? What does it mean?
a balance for finding the weight of an object submerged in water inorder to determine the upthrust on it and thus
determine its relativedensity
In fluid mechanics, a fluid is said to be in hydrostatic equilibrium or hydrostatic balance when it is at rest, or when the flow velocity at each point is constant over time. This occurs when external forces such as gravity are balanced by a pressure gradient force
The principle of hydrostatic equilibrium is that the pressure at any point in a fluid at rest is just due to the weight of datum the overlying fluid.
