Solutions

Expert Solution

Nuclear technology:--

Nuclear technology is that in which reactions of atomic nuclei is involved. There are various field in nuclear techanologies in which nuclear reactors, nuclear medicine and nuclear weapons are included. Actually nuclear techanology is part of physics .It is originated from physics .

Nuclear reactors for example is the result of controlled nuclear fission where as nuclear bomb is the result of uncontrolled nuclear fisssion.

The process of Nuclear fission is understood by the physics involved in bombarding neutrons on heavier Nucleus which results in producing immense energy blast. Where as nuclear reactor controlles this bombardment of neutrons by the use of heavy water (D2O) and uses this energy for producing nuclear energy in form of electric energy.

Radiation therapy involves the application of ionizing radiation to treat conditions such as hyperthyroidism, thyroid cancer, and blood disorders. Radiation therapy is particularly effective as a treatment of a number of types of cancer .
