A stroke is the rapidly developing loss of brain functions due to a disturbance in the blood vessels which is supplying to the brain. This can be due to lack of blood supply caused by thrombosis or due to a hemorrhage.
The affected area of the brain is unable to function leading to inability in movement of complete ½ body either in limbs, inability to formulate speech or inability to see one side.
There are mainly 4 types of strokes viz. Ischemic stroke, Hemorrhagic stroke, Thrombotic stroke and Embolic stroke
Based on question, the blood supply is decreased to part of the brain leading to dysfunction of the brain tissue in that area mainly in ischemic stroke.
One side of the brain controls the opposite side of the body and also specific organs, so a stroke occurring in the right side of the brain could result like in paralysis of the left side of the body, vision problem, memory loss and change in behaviour
