Let's begin with the Meaning and Definition of Agenda Setting theory.

This theory was proposed by two well known Social Scientist Mr. Maxwell McCombs & Donald L Shaw. This theory was first used in the Presidential Election in the year 1968. This theory belong to social science theory. Agenda Settigns is the intimation to the public for the awareness creation and issues which are pertaining to the news media involving to the public. This study of theory is manily emphasises on attempt to influence of public or viewers and establish news values according to them. Gnerally Nation with more political power received high rated media exposures for the example like USA & Indian Politics. This theory is mainly focused on wide range of activities like Politcal, economics and cultural aspect to catch up with public or viewers attention for setting up with their agenda.

Is setting the Agenda Can be a difficult task ?

In our modern world there is lot of problems which are faced by our community, sometimes it is political or economical or others forms are to be there. Especially in political ciircles they are always look to get the more attention from the public or views to increase the chances to by winning the election. So its defenitely they will created political agenda for attracting the public to their way to utalise. It ofcours to be the political parties to set the Agenda for take the advantages to utalise their purpose. For that purpose they need more help from media people they were the pillars to the public to reach the all information which the public wants to know more it. Setting up of Agenda might be political group or non political group also.  

Agenda Settings can be happend through the media's ablitity to build an issue. The main role of media was focused on information the public on important issue. For creating any sort of Agenda setting there will be an influence of media's is an important link. In that way it would says that some diffuclties are there to setting up an Agenda. Political group people can't set the agenda for their own way, while setting any type of Agenda they need from media group to flurish them into the public or views to get the maximum attention for that one. Besides this media roll of interested groups are to play the significant role in agenda settings through their influence power and efficent on the government. Interest groups are those with similar policy goals working to influence the political process by achieving common goals. Interest groups are in different types like business group, industrial and government professionals and labors.

The best example for agenda setter is former American President Bill Clinton scandal. In Clinton Scandal that involves sexal allegations which are charges by Monica Lewencky created sudden media attention become sensation news for years. Most of the time media gives full pages news as a top story. In this cas we can identify the things that public or viewers mind would be catched up to these media people to explore the all possible way to give impact to the public that will resulted into the impeachment to the president and latter Mr. Clinton was aquitted for the crime. This was the finest example in the american history through the media agenda for setting the Agenda.  

Clinton Case Was it Successful ?

Of course it was very much success full on that period, through this case media can get vast popularity in public and hence it leads to the impleachment procedure that was faced by Mr. Clinton and latter he was acquitted by the law.

On the other hand in some times while setting up by the Agenda either by political group or by media or Intersted group in the society which was not effective in their own dues several reasons which are prevailing them on this. Let's take the example of Clinton case afterall it was only charges for sexual harrasment to the lady. But the reach of this impact was going beyond what we can't imagine through the help of media. But this was not happend in some other cases or issues. Now a days public also very much cautions about readymade Agenda creation by the political group or media or intersted other group. They were not encouraging too much important in the current period of time.

While creating any sort of agenda setting there may be defenitely some impact of political economical or cultural posititon. Agenda Settings tool which are maily taken by the political group to attack other ruling party mail leaders who has become next one to go for the election. Intersted group like business group or industrial or labout group are specific about their own problem or create a space to divert the issues what they are facing them to change to the alternate problem to prevailing them. Most of the time it will created more problems in the community. It is better to take to accept the healthy critisisum to improve their working especially in the political group people.
