2. Methods for making notes from reading are different from those from lectures. Mention FOUR methods of making notes from reading ?
3. What does setting a priority mean? Give an Example.

1. Notes taking is an important academic task. I will give advice to the students who do not write in class that taking notes improves the chances of memorising the lectures easily. While taking notes a student has to give more attention and writing those notes help in better understanding of the lecture. It organises the thought process and makes it easier to revise the class lecture as the points are arranged in systematic way.
I will give this advice to students as students can retain the class lecture in a better way and can revise the notes later to understand a concept. Taking notes improves the attention of the students, they can review the notes later and clarify their concepts from the lecture.
2. Four methods of making notes from reading are as follows :- Outline method, Sentence method, charting method, mapping method.
Outline methods consists of listing main points related to the topic to summarize the concept. It helps to understand the concept in a concise way. The other method Sentence method is summarising the lesson in sentences that are brief and easier to revise. Charting method consists of listing multiple concepts and comparing them so that more than one concept can be summarised on a page to study the differences and understanding the concepts. Mapping method of notes taking helps in understanding related concepts with help of mapping important points and figuratively using notes for better understanding.
3. Setting a priority means giving more importance to a point or task than other tasks or points. The priority list consists of tasks or things to do in decreasing order of importance. Priority listing is done for optimising the use of resources and time. In this manner, the task or things listed on top of priorities is done first and then in the order listed. It is a tool for organising to do tasks or things.
4. Four categories of study skills are memorising, taking notes, taking simulated tests to check knowledge, learning through active listening.
Memorising method of study skills is learning the notes or key concepts studied through books. Taking notes is a method to study as a person can learn by writing to understand the lessons. Simulated tests are done as practice sessions to check the learnings. Active listening of lectures is a study skill that a person uses to learn from lectures and classroom sessions.
