What type of a report is this specifically going to be?

This shall be a report that explains about my end goal, what steps have been taken by me working backwards and understanding the nuances involved in achieving the goal. Actions/ steps already taken like whom I have already met to derive the necessary information, process/ methodology used and many more.

What questions must this report answer?

This report needs to answer questions like:

a. What is the end goal and what is my understanding on the end goal?

b. What are the steps/ actions that I have taken in order to achieve my goal?  

c. Who are the stakeholders needed to achieve the goal?

d. Does my end goal benefit the society?

What is the purpose of asking for this report instead of the completed project?

The purpose of asking this report is to understand on steps taken by me, process followed and understand whether they have been done ethically. Supervisor might also want to help me in the journey if I go wrong, and hence the steps followed would be very important for him to know.

Make an organized and properly structured sample of the report

Sample of the report :

Goal: Develop capabilities in order to be career ready for the new age world with new type of organizational roles in Data science.

Steps taken:

a. Understanding the goal: Learn new technology, having worked in operational roles, can this learning be helpful for me to raise up the career ladder ?

b. This can help the automotive Industry with my analysis and help the society at large.

c. Action would be to do online courses ar coursera or simplilearn.com pertaining to the budget that I have.

d. Time target: 1 year for me to be Industry ready

e. Final destination: Take up a data scientist role in my existing company, work for 2 years after which look out for roles within the government administration and see how I can contribute as a consultant in order to help the society.
