What property of a gas IS affected by the identity of a gas?
Gas is one of the five States of Matter which has no fixed volume but do occupy space. It has no fixed shape as well. It has the highest entropy out of solid and liquid and have lowest density. They have a lot of kinetic energy as the particles move very fast and collide with each other and with the walls of the container. This kinetic energy increases with increase in temperature.
The property of a gas which is affected by the identity of the gas was explained by Charles Law.
It states that 'at a particular pressure, Temperature of the gas will be directly proportional to the volume occupied by the gas'. On increasing the temperature of the gas, kinetic energy of the particles of the gas increases which will increases the number of collisions between them, thus the gas will expand which directly increases the volume when pressure is held constant.
