Argue for or against universal health care within the United States. Be sure to discuss the impact on the triangle of health care delivery: costs, care, and quality. Support your position.
Universal Health Care is a system where people from every cornor can get the access to the health care services without facing financial problem.
Argue for/Merits of this system are:
1. The main benefit of such system is that it has made the health aid services accessible to the people in need of such services and at the minimal cost and even free services are provided to the people who can't afford hefty payments. There is no descrimination on hte basis of caste, color, creed, social status etc. Everybody is treated equally. it boosts economy because if people dont live healthy lives, they would not be able to contribute to the much of their capacity to the nation economy.
2. It saves cost tremendously because least paperworks are involved in it as it is centralised system and the professional can pay more attention to the treatment instead of worrying about the paperworks.
3. In 2011, 60% of the US citizens were taking advantage of health insurance on employers cost in private sector companies but with advent of universal health care, the labour cost of the employer has gone down by 13% and this freed their fund locked-in the health insurance and used in the investments to make money.
Argue against/Demerits:
1. Health care is compromised if the country is poor and doesn't have revenue to spend on the care of the citizens.
2. Health care system has distorted the economy badly, since the investment required is much in the incorporation of this system so government increased the taxes to meet the cost and started controlling the distribution of goods and services and made the country federal.
3. US has already running many health insurance program so introducing universal health care into the system will bring huge strain in the economy and bring huge debts.
Concluding this, in my opinoin there will always be an argument over the merits and demerits of universal health care but if the merits are so strong that it can outweigh the demerits then going with the universal health care setup would be the best way.
