When I was a pharmacy intern, I overheard a tech telling a patient to take 100 mg of KCl (it was an OTC product) and to take two tablets of the OTC KCl to replace the 10 MEq dose of KCl that the patient did not have refills on. Should I say something to the pharmacist, or is this accurate?
