The Nunasamu Foundation intends to put up a warehouse at Juaben in the Ashanti Region and has engaged your team to assist in putting together a plan for the project. 1.2.1 Mixing mortar for block laying 15 days, 20 labourers, ¢15000 for materials
1.2.2 Block laying 30 days, 6 masons, 15 labourers
1.2.3 Fixing of door and window frames 3 days, 5 masons, 5 carpenters, 5 Labourers.
1.2.4 Formwork for pillars 3 days, 5 carpenters, ¢10,000 for materials.
1.2.5 Formwork for lintel 3 days, 5 carpenters and ¢2,000 for
materials.
1.2.6 Concrete work for pillars and lintel 1 day, 3 masons, 5 labourers, ¢1000 for materials
1.3 Roofing
1.3.1 Laying of lines 3 days, 5 carpenters, 5 labourers.
1.3.2 Carcassing 10 days, 5 carpenters, 10 labourers, ¢10,000 for wood.
1.3.3 Placing of roofing sheets 5 days, 5 carpenters, 10 labourers, ¢12,000 for materials
1.4 Electrical Works 10 days, 6 electricians, ¢15,000 for materials.
1.4.1 Chiseling
1.4.2 Laying of pipes for wires
1.4.3 Mortar to secure pipes for wires
1.4.4 assing of wires
1.5 Plumbing 10 days, 5 plumbers, ¢18,000 for materials
1.5.1 Digging and chiseling
1.5.2 Laying of pipes for water
1.5.3 Mortar to secure pipes for water
1.5.4 Fitting sinks, toilet bowls and taps
1.6. Finishing and tiding-up 5 days, 2 electricians, 2 masons, 2 plumbers, and 10 Labourers.
It was determined that a total of 14 masons, 12 carpenters, 6 electricians, and 5 plumbers will be required for the entire project. Masons are paid GH¢50.00 per day; carpenters are paid GH¢55.00 per day; electricians are paid GH¢60:00 per day, and plumbers are paid GH¢50:00 per day. 35 labourers are required and each labourer is paid GH¢40.00 per day. An amount of GH¢15,000 is set aside for contingency.
You are required to develop a/an
I. Responsibility Assignment Matrix for the project ensuring that responsibility is distributed fairly.
II. OBS for the project using team members as departments. How much money should be placed in each members cost account?
III. Develop a bottom-up cost estimate for the project.
IV. Develop a precedence diagram for the project using the major deliverables; assuming that wiring and plumbing will be done in parallel while all other activities are done in series.
V. How long will it take to complete the project barring any unforeseen contingencies?
