Following are the nursing interventions which is used to alter or reduce the environmental risk to an individual ------

A safe environment is very essential to promote good health and prevent them from various environmental harzards like physical, chemical, biological ,thermal, radiation, etc.

— All the basic needs should be fulfilled by nurse like temperature, oxygen, proper nutrition, etc.

— physical Hazards should be decreased by preventing the personal items like phone allowing the patient to use , sufficient lightening, regular updates of patient, restraint ,etc taken in action.

— chemical Hazards include use of poison , inappropriate medications should be prevented by poison control department. Lock all the cleaning products which are harmful, administer medication safely, know the amount of poison which is ingested.

— proper care and shielding of lab should be done to prevent transmission of infectious agent.

— Their should be availability of good protection against radiation exposure.

— performing aseptic practices like hand hygiene, sanitization.

— availability of proper Ventilation for asbestos, and some harmful gases like CO, formaldehyde, etc.
