I'm proposing a technology change for a hypothetical nursing curriculum. I'm proposing they integrate high-fidelity simulation into the curriculum. I've written the executive summary. However, I don't think I've added enough to really get the reader's attention. I spoke about the high turnover rate for new nurses in the first year, lack of clinical sites, limitations on what nursing students can do at clinical sites, poor interpersonal and interprofessional skills. What are some other things I can include to catch the readers' attention to my proposal? What information can I add that will make them want to keep reading.?
While proposing a technology change for a hypothetical nursing curriculum, some other things that can be included to catch the readers' attention to the proposal are:
a. More simulated clinical experience can be included with the help of an interactive clinical software. This software/app should contain patients of both gender in different age groups with various illnesses. This should help inexperienced nurses learn different diseases/treatments and care provided for each. This clinical experience simulator should have a robotic simulator with which they can practice everything including drug administration techniques before applying it to the patients. Their performance will be evaluated by an attached application software and based on the results of this evaluation each one will be given more complicated simulator tasks. After this they will be send to the clinics as care givers.
b. Geotrackers can be used along with patient monitors to track and monitor the patients after discharge if needed. Thus a patient can be studied more closely after discharge also. Higher level monitoring technology devices can be installed to control the diet, exercise, etc and control lifestyle diseases.
