  • Ensure a robust national action plan to tackle antibiotic resistance.
  • Strengthen policies, programs & implementation of infection prevention & control measures.
  • Regulate & promote the appropriate use & disposal of quality medicines.
  • Make information available on the impact of antibiotic resistance.
  • Shortening the duration of antibiotics
  • Switch to oral antibiotics therapy after 3 - 4 days of parenteral therapy. It lowers the risk of vein infections, increases patient mobility.
  • Molecular diagnostic methods can expedite pathogens specification.
