In the beginning pages of your textbook, you will learn about the 5 Canons of Rhetoric. The book says rhetoric "occupied a central role in the curriculum; if students hoped to succeed in public life, they needed to know how to speak clearly and persuasively" in the classical era. Do you think this is still true today? Why or why not? Provide examples to support your point of view.
Yes in public life if we want to succeed we should have the ability to speak clearly and persuasively because if we are not able to speak clearly than the other person will not understand what we are talking and we will have a communication problem between us and in public life communication problem will always give a negative opinion you unless you are having a problem to speak by birth clearly. Most of the cases if we have speaking problem people will think that we lack confidence and we cannot even make them get connected to what we are saying if we not clear. Persuasive speaking always helps us convince others with our talks which is a advantage to some one who can have that persuasive way of talking.
Ex:Most of the political leaders whom we consider great are good speakers.
Swami Vivekananda acheived the status of great philosopher because of his ability to speak clearly persuasively.
