Civillty can be defined as" Conscious awareness of the impact of ones thoughts, actions and intention s, on others combined with a continuous acknowledgement of ones responsibility to ease the experience of others with a constant effort to exhibit civil behavior as a non negotiable point of ones character "- power of civility lew bayer.

Civility is an act of respect, kindness and acceptance that one exhibits towards fellow human being. It helps define the value and moral upbringing attached to an individual .Civility is a value system of a group that helps form a community and also a nation. Having a system of behavior that is incivil may further generate a generation with lack of value system.

A famous futurist karl albrecht says rude behaviour is toxic. Incivility can be considered as a form of virus and bacteria which when attack the human body cause inflammation and when enter the society cause catastrophe and havoc into the social system.

Generating a generation inclined towards building civility and accepting it as a want and a need may pav path for a brighter generation.

In nursing profession development of these core principles are of immense importance as they exhibit patient care system. There are no alternative to civility it is considered as an integrate part of nursing system.

Non Maleficience means no harm is considered the basis of nursing care which is inhibited when incivility becomes a habit.

Nursing follows a altruistic form of behavior which generates patients welfare over ones. Hense helps enhance a value of selflessness and intigrity along with ethics Which may further add up to a healthy work environment.

Responsible for ones behavior

Kind irrespective of fellows mate nature

Bag filled with forgiveness

Attitude filled with acceptance

Dr P. M Forni, author choosing civility (2003) states that it is important to consider conduct being inclusive , paying attention, rediscovering silence, speaking kindly.

Nursing includes the importance of responsibility and love as an essence to human care. Hence civility in workplace may also help improve patience care and development .Respect towards fellow Colleague may help rejuvenat a positive work force energy and hence facilitate team work

Strategies: -

Self inspection-

Self inspection plays a very important role to develop civility. Assess yourself to help develop a sense of civility by knowing ones behavior towards other's, factors which trigger patience and may result in rude behavior, asses for anyform racist behavior or discriminative attitude.

Develop a sense of understanding and Calmness-

Assess yourself to know what your action will result in and how your behavior may effect.

Put yourself in others shoe to know the reason for action before a reaction.

Be calm when dealing with a frustrated environment as it may result in a frustrated attitude

Good listener-

Be a good listener before jumping to conclusions, know both sides of the coin before judging and make fair judgement.

Respect-

Respect irrespect of caste, religion or color everyone deserves respect. Be non bais and non judgemental Respect fellow workers with dignity and love
