**Difference between the food born illness and food poisoning .***

food born illness is any illness caused by eating contaminated food.it can occur after consuming food with contaminated with harmful bacteria o rvother pathogens.

food poisoning is a specific subject of food born illness. When some one is affected with food poisoning, they suffer from the effects of consuming specific toxins.

Examples of foodborn illness is

  • Viral gastroenteritis,
  • giardiasis
  • Typhoid
  • Travelers diarrhoea

Examples of food poisoning

  • Botulism

Mode of transmission of both of this illness I s almost same .which is given below

  • contaminatef food .
  • Contaminated water.
  • Put anything into mouth which came to contact with feces of infected person.
  • By physical contact by preparing food.

Signs and symptoms

  • cramping abdominal pain.
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhoea

Peoples may experience also

  • pain in the area of rectum.
  • Fatigue.
  • Dizziness.
  • Fever.
  • Light-headedness.
  • Indigestion

Digns and symptoms may starts with in hours of eating contaminated food. Also they begins days or even weeks later. It may lasts from hours to days.

TREATMENT

  1. Usally it will cure without treatment. But it also can vary person to person.
  2. drink lots of water it will help to prevent dehydration.
  3. ors therapy

If any this signs and symptoms gets worse seek medical attention.

frequent episodes of vomiting, or diarrhoea

extrem pain or cramps

any signs of dehydration.

Prognosis

​​​​​prognosis of this condition is very good .it will get cured very fast or with in days.But it can be serious issue in childrens ,pregnant ladies, older adults ,people with weekends immune system .these groups should very csreful to these conditions. This may can get worse.

Education nurse can given to prevent these illnesses is

  1. ​​​​​​Do not drink raw milk.or foods that contain unpasteurized milk.
  2. wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly before eating .
  3. Keep refrigerator temparayure st 40 degree farenheat
  4. Avoid cross contamination. Keep Gish meat poultry separate from other foods.
  5. Wash hand knives and cutting board after handling uncooked food.
  6. Sea food and she'll fish should cook thoroughly

For pregnant ladies and people with weekend immune system.

  • dont eat pre prepared salads, such as vjiken salad,egg salad, tuna salad...
  • Do not eat soft cheeses..
  • Do not eat refrigerant smoked food unless it has cooked.
  • drink boiled water only
