The organization you work for is changing their benefit plan system from billed to self-administered effective December 1 of this year. As the Payroll Manager, prepare a memo for your department outlining the new processes required to administer the plan.

Subject: Outline of various processes required to administer the new plan.

It has been decided that the benefit system plan of the organization will be changed from billed to self-administer. The following the processes have to be followed in order to ensure that the new proposed self-administered system work effectively:

  1. The benefits have to be recorded by the beneficiaries thus, proper records must be maintained by the beneficiaries.
  2. The amount to be received by the beneficiaries and to be paid by the organization must be tallied with the benefit plan of the organization.
  3. The benefit plan of the organization should be properly understand by the beneficiaries to ensure they maintained proper records of expected benefits to be paid.
  4. The benefits recorded by the beneficiaries must be appraised by the department regularly to ensure there is no error in calculation of expected benefits to be paid to the beneficiaries.
  5. The benefits shall be paid if everything is maintained properly and there is no error in calculation of expected benefits as per the self-administered system.
