Sargon was the first ruler of the Akkadian empire during the 24th-23rd centuries BC. Sargon is believed to be a son of a gardener and there his rise to power and fame form his humble beginnings is astonishing and a source of legendary narratives and tales.
He called himself the king of Akkad as the city of Akkad was founded by him. various historic scriptures project him a brave military commander who always listened to the advice of his peers including his subordinates and is respected for his bravery, heroism through which he conquered the lands of Uta-raspashtim and simurram.
Although the documents and important piece of arts depicting his rise to power are mostly lost, he is nonetheless regarded as a man who had no equal during his times nor he had a rival. He was the chief commander of the lands he conquered and he was largely responsible for uniting the different people of the lands he conquered.
The Assyrian and Babylonian kings considered themselves as the offspring of Sargon and it is widely accepted that the notion of Empiricism was first created by Sargon and Sargon is considered the first empire who ruled over land with many ethnic tribes of people.
In contemporary times, Sargon is still an exemplary leader who can teach many lessons about the military skills and running of the government. His qualities like uniting his people and fighting them for bravely, if incorporated, can still inspire many people all over the world. His rise to power can also motivate the people from humble beginnings to dream big and to work harder to achieve those dreams. Sargo may have lived in a different era but his ideals and his virtuous qualities sare stills as relevant as they were then.
