Solutions

Expert Solution

Telehealth is becoming a vital process for providing access to cost-effective quality care to patients at a distance. As such, it is important for nurse practitioners, often the primary providers for rural and disadvantaged populations, to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to utilize telehealth technologies in practice.
Telehealth programs have been used to provide content that focuses on 1) defining telehealth, 2) telehealth etiquette, 3) interprofessional collaboration, 4) regulations, 5) reimbursement, 6) security/Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), 7) ethical practice in telehealth, and 8) satisfaction

Although telemedicine has been utilized for many years, it has historically been used primarily by physicians. In recent years, telemedicine has been demonstrating its growing potential in advanced nursing practice in terms of economy, efficacy, and quality of care. When used appropriately, telemedicine complements advanced nursing practice in cost-effective ways and improves healthcare access to the populations served. Incorporating telemedicine into the advanced nursing practice can be rewarding for both clinicians and their patients. Because of the high variability that exists among state regulations and payer reimbursements, clinicians are advised to verify their respective Board of Nursing Examiners, State, and payers' policies prior to investing in the establishment of telemedicine in practice.

Alternative Investment Bases Chapter 7 in the textbook discusses how differences in the amounts used to calculate ROI can impact performance evaluation. I found the reading very tedious and difficult to understand. This problem provides a simple example of how alternative investments bases affect the calculation of ROI (and therefore, affect performance evaluation). Basic Information: The T Division of A.T. Our textbook specifically discusses our country's lack of preparedness for a pandemic in Chapter 13, page 274 under the "Epidemics, Ethics, and Public Health" heading. Much has been discussed by public health officials in articles and news stories in the past few months regarding the lack of official expert forums, epidemic protocols, and medical supplies prepared for such a disaster as we are now experiencing, albeit at a global level. As aptly predicted in the quote below, the US medical...

Chapter 14 in our textbook discusses how more and more companies are adopting policies of environmental sustainability. Many companies recognise that they must respond to consumer environmental concerns, and also do their part to address the global issue of climate change. Even though many companies are “greening” their practices, such as by using compostable packaging and energy-efficient lighting in their factories, other companies are “greenwashing” their products and marketing to appear more environmentally sustainable than they actually are. For example,...
