1. How to update tasks in MS Project 2016?

If there are several tasks in the project, then -

In View group, in the Task tab clock Gnatt Chart.

Hold CTRL and select each of the tasks.

In Schedule group click 0-25-50-75-100 (Choose the percentage complete) Complete

2. How to use tasks and subtasks?

A task can have many subtasks. In MS Project 2016, the indented task becomes a subtask of the task above it. The task is the summary task and the summary task is made up of subtasks.

Create a subtask -

In the Gantt Chart view

select the task.

click Task > Indent to turn the task into a subtask

3. How to link and unlink tasks in MS Project?

Creation of task dependencies is about linking tasks in MS Project.

Select one task, Hold the Ctrl key down, select the second task.

On the Task tab, in the Schedule group, click the chain link button, to link the tasks.

For unlinking the tasks,

select the tasks

click the icon that shows a broken chain.

The tasks will be unlinked.

4. How to set constraints and deadlines?

To add a constraint -

Double-click the task

Go to Advanced tab

Click on the Constraint type list arrow

Select a constraint type

Click on the Constraint date list arrow

Select a constraint date

And click ok.

To add a deadline -

Select the cell where you want the new column

Click Format tab

Click Insert Column button

Select Deadline

Click list arrow in the Deadline column

Select a deadline

5. How to set project milestones?

Set project milestones -

Click View

In the Task Views group, click the Gantt Chart

Type milestone name or select a task to turn into a milestone

Type 0 in the duration

Milestone added

6. How to complete the resource sheet?

Setting up the resources -

Click the View tab

Select Resource Views group and Click Resource Sheet

Click cell below the Resource Name heading

Enter the Resources as an individual person, job function or group.
