What are the two primary types of Leveling I can consider in Microsoft Project to address resource constraints?

Solutions

Expert Solution

In Microsoft Project, when the people are working on many projects at the same, there will be a case of resource constraints. There will be an overloading of workes.

To resolve these issues there are two primary types of Leveling.

1.Leveling the assignments:

An assignment needs to be distributed or delayed so that there will be no overstressed to finish the Project. Leveling the assignment doesn't change the task. It does not level the cost or material. We can level more than one task at one time. It is required when the project is very critical to be delivered at a specific time frame.

2.Leveling Resource:

Resources have a different skill set to do the task in a Project. The specific task is leveled to only specific resources. Other resources will not be able to do these assignments. If they are working on other tasks also, they have done the all tasks along with the specific tasks.
