This discussion forum explores ways Americans exploited the native societies.(need 150 words)
Native Americans had a complicated relationship with European settlers.initially they welcomed these colonial settlers and embraced theculture as they felt it will give them prestige, security and wealth but soon as they realised that colonists want them to change their social and rligious parctices and aquire more land they started resisting. Colonists on the ir part tried to start trade with them and tried to make them more civilised society but natives resisted this and there was distrust which resulted in hstility between colonists and natives. Natives resisted the efforts of the Europeans to acquire more of their land and control through both warfare and diplomacy. But problems including new diseases small pox slave trade, and the fast growing European population kept natives away from their goal. natives got divided and some formed alliances with colonists who were given land won by colonists. Americans did not have immunity to fight the ddiesease small pox they got exposed to from colonists. The american population became sick & wasv decreasing, it became more and more difficult to put opposition to European expansion. the colonists made the Native Americans vulnerable by way slave trade. As a result of the wars between the European nations, Native Americans were often enslaved &shipped out of colonies like South Carolina into slavery in other places, like Canada. Economic expolitation in name of civilsaing them and entetainment vallue tax etc happened during colonial time. These problems worsened & continued with economic and psychic exploitation of natives. The Native American got dependent upon European goods purchased on credit. Tyhe natives got into debt trap &to cover the debts of overbuying and unability to pay for the goods due to poor hunting seasons, the Native American peoples sometimes had to give their land .Alongside as more Europeans began arriving and settlements expanded, colonialists became less interested in trade, and more interested in acquiring land by any means like conversion to chiristianity massccre, seperation from families, kids were sent to distant boarding schools. The colonial contact has indeed negatively affected the cultural heritage of the Native American peoples.
No such merciless westward expasion of europeons do not not justify Native American exploitation nor the economic benefits of colonists. whites were looking to expand westward and to fullfill such intentions they colonised Native Americans and tried to change their culture and religion. The native Americans died of starvation, disease, and fatal wounds. The Europeons by way of expansuion might have have gained resources like gold, and extra land, but it was at the horrifying trail of teras of nativesit. the killings, masscre ,exposure to disease starvation etc were some of painful plight that was faced by americans. Nothing can justify such suffering, death, and pain that Americans got from whites. there is no worth of any sort or economic benefits whites received from westward expansion. colonists destroyed the cultural and sacred parctices of amrican for their vested interests but it did not worth the exploitation of the humanity.
