Etiology - The most common cause is left sided heart failure..

Pathophysiology - The following stage have occoured in the development of Pulmonary Edema..

  • Left Sided heart failure
  • Decrease pumping ability to the systemic circulation
  • Congestion & accumulation of blood in the Pulmonary area
  • Fluids leaks out of the intravascular space to the intersticium
  • Accumulation of fluid
  • Pulmonary Edema Occurs..

Clinical Menifastations -

  • Shortness Of breath after exertion, which Progresses to shortness of breath at rest..
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty walking up hill which progresses to difficulty of walk in flat Surface etc..
