1) Pulmonary edema is a condition in where excess amount of fluid is seen in lungs. Pulmonary edema is also called as wet lung.
It is caused due to pnemonpnu,heart conditions, being at high elevation places.
Management- Firstly diagnosis consists of checking if a person has fluid filled lungs.Which includes physical examination,chest x ray, electrocardiogram.
Treatment- First step of treatment is providing oxygen to the patient. Oxygen levels are closely monitored. And medication include diueretcs,blood pressure medication.
And healthy diet should be maintained by eating low salt foods. Smoking should not be allowed and regular excercise and helathy weight are necessary.Blood pressure should be controlled.
2)Pulmonary embolism is a condition which the arteries of the lungs are blocked with blood clots.
This is mostly caused by the travelling of blood clots from legs.
Management includes using of blood thinners,low molecular weight heparins, using of catheter to remove the clot or dissolve it, and surgery.
Healthy diet along with exercise,compress com stockings and the medication should be taken according to prescription.
