Maintaining public health is very important and it can be maintained by improving the quality of life by promoting a healthy lifestyle, preventing the disease and identification of new outbreak of diseases, and provide adequate intervention to prevent the spreading of the disease. For the proper maintenance of public health, the social determinants of health also play an important role.

The social determinant of health includes the condition of the environment where the population lives, culture, believes, demographic factors, etc. The social determinants of health impact the health of the population. Some of the social determinants of health are visible like the environment hygiene, culture, believes, health care, nutrition, education, socio-economic status.

The changes in the social determinant of health influence the health of the people and there is a need to maintain the proper social determinants to maintain healthy life among the population. If the environment is not hygiene then have a chances to develop the disease or infection, in some culture and believes the medical practice are restricted because they think that it is impurity and this leads to decrease the recovery rate of the disease, in some remote area, there are lack of health care facilities and lack of education leads to decrease maintenance of the health and getting appropriate health care on time. Those who are getting adequate nutrition mostly have high immunity and those who are not getting proper nutrition leads to chances of development in malnutrition. Socioeconomic status also plays an important role in public health because of the need for more money to manage the needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The changes that can be applied to improve the health of the neighbors are

- Maintenance of clean and hygiene environment

- prevent taboos and believe that is not compatible to modern scientific health care.

- use of locally available nutritious diet or food that is low in cost instead of buying imported high cost food.

- increase the health education among the community with the cooperation of all the people.

- Increase the awareness program regarding the prevention of health issue.
