Depending on the particular type of GI infection you have, your syptoms may vary. There are 3 main types of GI infections including viral, bacterial and parasitic.

Viral and bacterial GI infections can cause a variety of syptoms including but not limited to ; general unwell feeling, mailase, swelling to the stomach and intestional tract, loss of appetite, weightloss, nausea , vomiting , diarrhea, abdominal cramping, flank pain, dehydration, abdominal tenderness and fever can occur.

Parasitic GI infections syptoms can include but not limited to ; foul smelling watery diarrhea may be greasy or soft, flatulence, nausea, abdominal cramps , bloating , weight loss, sleeping problem, anemia, aches and pains, allergies, fever, general unwell feeling, rectal itching or vulva itching , weightloss, abdominal pain, passing of parasite in stool, rash around rectal or vulva area  and weakness, on occasion it can cause constipation
