describe what it means to "condition" a piece of glassware
Conditioning of a glassware:
Rinsing of a glassware with a solution and then draining it so that all surfaces are coated with the solution is called conditioning of the glassware. Conditioning two or three times will ensure that the concentration of solution is not changed by a stray drop of water.
Conditioning a Pipette:
Condition a pipette with the solution to be measured by drawing a small portion of that solution into the pipette. Roll the solution around inside the pipette and empty through both ends to ensure that the inside of the pipette is coated with the solution.
Conditioning a Burette:
Condition a burette with the solution to be put in the burette by pouring a small portion of that solution into the burette with the stopcock closed. Roll the solution around inside the burette and empty through both ends to ensure that the inside and the tip of the burette are coated with the solution.
