Solutions

Expert Solution

  • The theory of social cognitive learning is applied in the field of substance use, claiming that people presume positive expectancies and attitudes towards substances through the process of observing or imitating positive attitudes of their models. It incorporates the interaction between personal factors, environment, and behaviour.
  • Individuals with low self-efficacy have poor expectancies of accomplishment and this is linked with substance abuse and increased alcohol consumption.High self-efficiency leads the person to believe hat one's action will have the desired outcome or they will not be able to resist temptation.
  • In order to reduce substance abuse,it depends on the level of motivation of the person that is determined by self-efficacy. If the personl considers social approval and a healthier lifestyle as important and know that this could be obtained by not consuming alcohol or drugs they will be more inclined to not consume it.
  • Social capital theory which means the network of social connections that exists among people is related to depression and substance use among adults.Social capital includes shared norms, where a social or cultural norm is accepted and reinforced within a system is associated with substance abuse.Studies of US high school students have found linksbetween family social capital and use of alcohol or drugs.
  • The Health belief model impacts why people decide to exercise to reduce obesity, what mentally prevents them from exercising, and what perceived rewards they stand to gain from exercising. This model includes interventions that can be used to target psychological perceptions and processes independent of the diet and physical activity behaviors that actually produce weight change.

Julia Kristeva’s account in La Révo- lution du langage poétique (Revolution in Poetic Language) treats literary production and indeed linguistic production in general as a dialectic of...
