If we look at the internet it is quite obvious that why it is termed as the information superhighway. Internet at present is the source of ample of information from basic things to the most complicated information. We all know that the present era in which we are living in the era of information. Everything is being driven by the information and each individual is overloaded with the information. This phenomenon is further boosted with the advent and spread of the internet.

Information is required not only by those who have excess resources but also by those who have limited resources to possess these inputs. If there will be some kind of changes or fee of accessing the internet, then there will be barriers on the way of free flow of information. The users of poor countries or house who have limited resources will not be able to get the relevant information on time which could hamper them in a great deal.

Paying for the internet is mainly the concept where the internet providers are not able to recover the cost of facilitating this service o the users. With the spread of internet and millions of users adding in the web of internet every month, these websites, and internet servers are earning huge money by advertisement and accessing the preference, relevant browsing data of the users. These service providers provide this information to the various organizations who want to attract the customers and in return internet service providers receive money/ Thus these providers are ultimately receiving money through the internet users.

Apart from this, there are many other services such as social media, video sharing, blogs and many other features available on the internet which can be quite useful for these service providers to use as a medium of earning money.

Internet must be free to all as during the emergency situation, accidents, natural calamities, the internet becomes the lifesaver and anything which helps in surviving the human being must be offered free of cost. This could be seen in the recent aural calamities here the family members contacted their wards or other members through the internet and come to know about their well-being.

Looking at all the above points, I think there must not be any kind of internet charges levied on the users for accessing the internet.
