What is the main property of steroid hormones?

Solutions

Expert Solution

In our body steroid hormone are of mainly two types
1) Adrenal steroid secreted by adernal cortex.
2)Sex hormone (androgen & estrogen) secreted by testes and ovaries.
Their properties are given below
1) Adernal cortex helps in various metabolic processes. It maintain blood pressure.Adernal cortex also helps in maintain salt and water balance in our body.

2) Androgens and estrogens are responsible for maintainance and development of reproductive function. They also helps in production of RBC's and skeletal muscles.
