What are 4 techniques that can be used for seller selection? Please explain them
The four techniques that can be used for seller selection are :
a. Seller rating systems : In this technique the sellers are rated based on their past the seller's past performance, quality of products, delivery performances. The seller with the highest rating is selected.
b. Expert judgement : Under this technique a review team is developed with people having expertise in different areas such as legal, design, finance, manufacturing, salea etc. This team then evaluate the various aapects of a proposal from different seller and provide their judgement. Based on that the seller is selected.
c. Weiging system : In this technique the various criterias are decided based on which the sellers are to be selected. A numerical value is assigned to each of the criteria. Each seller is rated on the different criteia and the weight is multiplied with the rating and the final score is calculated.
d. Independent estimates : This technique involves setting the minimum requirement for the criterias. The sellers are raked from best to worst based the requirements.
