FAIR TRADE
Fair trade is a trending partnership, based on dialogue, transperency and respect that seeks greater equity in international trade.
It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to and securing the rights of marginalized producers and workers.
Members of the fair trade movement add the payment of higher prices to exporters, as well as improved social and environmental standards.
The movement focuses in particular commodities that are typically exported from developing countries to developed countries ,but is also used in domestic markets, most notably for handicrafts, coffee, cocoa, wine, sugar, fruit, flowers etc.
In addition to fair prices and payment, strict fair trade certification ensures absolutely no child labour ,good working condition,no discrimination, no forced labour and no bonded labour.there is a transperency from seed to shelf and accountability in every stage.
