DISSOCIATIVE AMNESIA:It is a condition in which a person cannot remember important information about his or her life. This forgetting may be limited to certain specific areas or may include much of the persons life history and identity. Characteristics :1)Memory loss for certain time periods. 2) A sense of being detached from from emotions . 3)A blurred sense of identity. 4) Inability to cope with stress . 5)Anxiety and suicidal thoughts. TREATMENTS : The goal for the treatment is to relieve the symptoms :1)Safely deal with and manage painful events. 2) Develop new coping skills 3 )Improve relationships .4)Pschotherapy:It includes several forms of therapy to improve the condition .5) Cognitive- behavioural therapy : It helps to change harmful thinking patterns ,feelings and behaviors .6)Family Therapy : This teach the family about the disorder and enable to make them realise the symptoms. 7) Medications : Some form of drugs such as tablets and IV and IM medications use for the treatment .8) Creative Therapies :It allows patient to explore and express their thoughts ,feelings and experiences in a safe and creative environment . DISSOCIATIVE FUGUE :It is a type of amnesia that is caused by an extreme psychological trauma instead of physical trauma, illness or another medical conditions. Characteristics : 1) confusion 2) Loss of memories about place ,people and events .3) detachment from their own emotions .4) Depression ,anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Causes :Extra feelings of shame, trauma caused by an accident, childhood abuse. Treatments :I mentioned above (same) . Multiple Personality Disorder :it is a severe form of dissociation, a mental process which produces a lack of connection in a persons thoughts, memories ,feelings ,actions or sense of identity . Characteristics : 1)Depersonalization : This is a sense of being detached from one's body and is often referred to as an out of body experience . 2) Derealization 3) Amnesia 4) Identity confusion or identity alteration . 4) person may suffer from trouble functioning . Treatments : Psychotherapy , Hypnotherapy, Adjunctive therapy . Depersonalisation Disorder : It is a condition in which the person has persistent or recurrent feelings of depersonalization or derealization . Characteristics : 1)feelings that you are an outside observer of your thoughts , 2)feelings like a robot or that you are not in control of your speech or movements .3) A sense that your body, legs or arms distorted ,enlarged or shrunken . Treatments : 1) psychotherapy 2) Medications . IMPLICATIONS of ANXIETY disorder :It is an strong anxiety reactions for no particular reason.The Main causes are psycho-social factors : death, divorce or sexual abuse. 2) unfavorable parenting styles .3) Neuro biological disorders 4) genetic factors. Treatment :psychotherapy and medication Somatoform disorders : It is a mental illness that cause one or more bodily symptoms, including pain These symptoms may not be traceable to a physical cause including general medical conditions or substance abuse . Characteristics :1)Hypochondriasis: feeling of medical problems such as headache is a sign of tumour . 2) conversion disorder : patient may have symptoms of weakness or paralysis 3) Hearing loss, 4) Loss of sensation Treatment :Medications :Anti depressants ,non-pharmacologic treatments such as acupuncture and cognitive behavioral therapy. Recreation : psychotherapy and medication.
