The World Economic Forum at its recent meet at Davos, identified climate change as the biggest threat to the human life, its symptoms are visible in the form of global warming, icebergs melting, rise in sea level, frequently occuring natural disasters like floods, cyclones etc. Thus, there is a need to create awareness amoung the people and amoung the governments of different countries in order to come together and mitigate the effects of climate change. This mitigation actions can be taken unilaterally by legislative actions, making environment freely laws, adopting strategies to implement the concept of sustainable development etc. Some of the actions that can be taken are, to reduce and control the rising pollution levels from industries, power plants, adopting more renewable energy sources like solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy. Implementing higher standard of vehicular engines like Euro-VI, creating robust supply chain mechanisms, transportation infrastructure etc. Some of the actions that require bilateral or multilateral approach is suitable technology transfer between developed and developing nations, appropriate fund transfer in order to sustain and adopt the effects of climate change, because climate change is not one nations burden or duty, so every nation must participate in bringing the change internally and must help other nations to sustain its effects.
Now, the recent climatic events have cautioned various governments worldwide thus forced them to take certain actions like:-
