There are various categories of situational moderators of gender, Two of them are:

1. situational ambiguity:

  • Situational ambiguity refers to the uncertainity in situation which can result from contradictory situations which can be unclear or confusing.
  • Ambiguity within a situation can occur due to the individual differences like their thoughts,genders and their performance in various situations.
  • The more the ambiguity in the situation, the more it affects the performance in the genders.
  • Multiple dimensions for varying ambiguity in a negotiation situation.
  • Decrease in degree of situational ambiguity increases or strengthens the potential of gender's negotiation performance.
  • Increased situational ambiguity influences gender triggers.
  • Weakens the pull of non gender scripts.

Gender triggers:
