The patient is getting 0.45% NaCl which means 0.45 gm of NaCl dissolved in 100 ml of solution.
The patie needs 5gm of NaCl .
So, 0.45gm of NaCl is received from 100 ml of solution
1 gm of Nacl is received from 100/0.45 ml
5 gm of NaCl will receive from (100/0.45)×5 = 1111.11 ml = 1.11 liter.
TOTAL SOLUTION NEEDS TO BE INFUSED = 1.11 Liters
