Solutions

Expert Solution

The correct answer is Option (B )

Nonverbal communication is important in few cultures. In cases of language problems, non verbal communication helps in effective communication and sometimes it may also result in intercultural conflicts. In some culture people like traditional language classes , people focus only on language ,whereas in language classes, they include both non verbal communication and culture . So we can not say that non verbal communication is important for all cultures. It is important for only few cultures. The nurses should understand the different cultures and try to reduce the cultural barriers for effective treatment and care.

The other options are incorrect.

The option A is incorrect as the nurse should consider the client cultures as well as ethnicity while providing care.

Option C is incorrect as the nurse should not expect the client to adapt to the care regardless of the culture.

Option D is incorrect as the culture have some role in determining when the patient will seek medical care
