can you explain this statement how "nurses are such a vital part of the workforce, and are significant in numbers, they are the perfect "King Coal" of our time". (200 word counts)
King coal is the novel which was published in early 20th century around 1910. It describes the poor working condition of the coal mine workers in the United States.
It also describes the important position the coal has in our economies at the time. It was used as an input for energy, making steel, cars and everything we needed at that time. But even after all this importance, the life of the coal mine workers was miserable.
Nurses are the new king coal of time means that they are playing a very vital role in our economy and this economy which revolves around knowledge and human resource would not function if Nurses are not there to do their duty. But, the working condition, wages, perks they get in return are equivalent to the coal workers of that time.
If Nurses are not around our medical system will collapse and so will the whole economy around it. Just as the coal was important then and it was the main fuel to run the economy. Nurses are now the main fuel to run the economy.
