Answer:

(a)

  • ERP is a corporate process management software called the organization's centralized operating framework. The ERP system optimizes business processes and assists in the organization's back-office operations.
  • To accommodate the operational processes of the firm, the GBI is beginning to change its ERP scheme. When the business faced a reduced amount of expenditures and an advanced business infrastructure, the move was beneficial and successful.
  • Owing to the shortage of qualified workers, it was challenging to incorporate the new ERP at the initial level. Still, the modification proved to be effective in the end and brought the business benefits.
  • Therefore, a poor judgment was seen in the beginning despite the move, but this was found to be advantageous after some time. The workers were also educated and the organization gained from the modern ERP method.

(b) The factors to be taken into account before the adjustment are as follows:

Until deciding to change the ERP framework or not, the organization needs to weigh the following attributes;

(1) Patterns of the cycle industry in the market.

(2) The business's competence and systems and personnel to incorporate the latest ERP module and to utilize it.

(3) The company's efficiency metrics.
