Shooting down planes from the ground during WWII was difficult. A timed explosive is used because hitting a moving aircraft with a single shot from a cannon is nearly impossible; This explosive allows you to be less accurate. You are responsible for aiming and setting the timed fuses for anti aircraft battery (cannon). You fire a projectile that is aerodynamic enough that you can ignore air resistance. The projectile leaves the barrel at 840m/s. Your target is at an altitude of 3000m and a horizontal distance of 4000m.
1.Find the flight time in algebraic expression.
2. At what angle above horizontal must you aim?
3.What does the delay need to be on the fuse?
